About Workshop
As you have probably listened many times, our type is the character we play in life to be accepted, valued and loved by the others. This is an interesting idea, but what about leaving the head and bringing it to the boards?
This workshop is an invitation to your ego to get on stage and show us all its talents to complicate your life. Obviously, you will need to join it but you will also have the opportunity to express what is happening under your personality.
It would be absolutely experiential for those who dare to play with me and a wonderful (hopefully!) performance for those who prefer to become the audience.
We would be using different techniques coming from different approaches but mainly from the Theatre of the Oppressed.
This tradition was developed by Augusto Boal as an art instrument of social change, providing a wonderful set of tools like Forum Theatre, Image Theatre or Invisible Theatre to help it reach its goal.
An oppressed is just a person that wants to change his/her situation and finds an oppressor that avoids it.
In the social scene, oppressors are normally political or economic powers. But when Boal was exiled to France he noticed that “Europeans have oppressors inside” and develop new tools like Cops in the Head or Rainbow of Desire to work on them.
The inner oppressor described by Boal is clearly the patterns that we internalized in our childhood articulated around our type structure.
A wonderful material to create a comedy, a drama or even a science-fiction play.
A marvelous way to explore your type and the conflicts that creates.
And a splendid opportunity to contact your essence and let your awareness express it.
